Work with me
Therapy Space (Indoors)
I am trained as a integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor which means I use a variety of different approaches tailored to your specific needs (see ‘My Approach’ for details).
Sessions take place in a calming, creative and confidential therapeutic space within the John Marley Centre; an old Art Deco building, (formerly a school). The building houses artists, dancers, writers, circus performers and musicians and it is an inspiring place to be.
There is a large car park offering ample parking and it is also conveniently located on a number of bus routes (30, 31 and 38). There is a cycle rack if coming by bike. Facilities on site include a cafe, a record shop, communal work spaces and toilets.
Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy, also known as nature therapy, is a therapeutic approach that involves connecting with the natural environment to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It is also about the relationship we have with nature, and how nature accompanies the therapeutic work.
Ecotherapy can be especially helpful for people facing a wide range of challenges, including grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, illness, stress, and low self-esteem. Ecotherapy is also beneficial for neurodiverse individuals—e.g. autism, ADHD and highly sensitive people (HSPs), who may feel overwhelmed by busy, noisy, or emotionally intense environments.
Ecotherapy sessions are based at Scotswood Gardens, a beautiful organic garden, containing ponds, a forest garden, orchard area, meadows, woodland, sculptures and raised bed areas.
